General questions
- As a political theorist and philosopher, what interests you about spirituality and religion? As in, why not just do a good old secular (and perhaps materialist) analysis of society?
- I’ve also heard arguments from leftist theorists that we are now in a post-capitalist era: What are your views on such sentiments?
- How did the political right co-opt religion? It’s been fun seeing the American right’s reaction to the new Pope.
- I would also like to touch on contemporary AI/AGI/Accelerationism discourse, which I find deeply religious.

- I am not sure how to verbalise this, but I find an eerie alliance between neoliberal capitalism (and even neofascism) and “western spirituality”; recently, Deepak Chopra, being in the Epstein files, is perhaps a good example.
- I also believe in the Mark Fisher (and Žižekian-Althusserian ideology) sense, we live in one of the most religious times?
- Generally, how do you think leftists should approach self-help and “corporate spiritualism”? I even see that the desire people have for this spiritual wholeness itself can be found in political solidarity and action. In other words, we should be telling people, “You can find yourself by fighting for a living wage, not another trip to Bali or a yoga retreat”
